A Comprehensive, Well-Written Guide to Energy Healing

This book represents a giant leap forward for energy healers everywhere. It's designed to teach someone with no prior knowledge of the human aura, chakras, and energy field, how to master energy healing. It builds a strong foundation, and through 6 levels of increasing complexity, guides the practitioner to become a very proficient and effective healer. Though complex, powerful techniques are laid out, the author uses plain language, masterfully illustrating the concepts and principles of energy healing. Visual aids accompany the step-by-step instructions, so you're never left wondering, "Am I doing this right?" A Complete Guide To Learning and Practicing Chios Energy Healing

I love this book because everything you need to know about Chios Energy Healing is in this book! Before when I was teaching a class, either I or the the students had to print all of this same information from the Chios website so they could study and reference during class. Now it's all in one place, how wonderful is that?!? Now anyone can learn Chios Energy Healing on their own with this book. But for those who prefer a classroom setting you can go to the ChiosHealing.com website to find a teacher in your area. I give this book 5 Stars because it is complete, everything you need to start practicing Chios at the most basic level, all the way up to advanced techniques is covered very thouroughly. You learn how to read auras, you learn how to use color, and shapes during the healing sessions. If you ever wanted to become an energy healer this is a great place to start. If you are a healer now, this book can offer some new tools to add to your toolbox, and maybe some new insight into the healing realm.

I have been a Chios Healing Master for around 8 years and Chios Energy healing is one of the very first energy works that I embarked on and continue to use in my day to day life the energy is phenomenal not only are you given clear instructions on healing others but yourself as well. Fantastic!!

Totally Blew me away!!Need the next one ASAP!!
I didn't think she could top Fear University, man was I wrong!

The Killing Season answered questions yet gave us so many new ones!! ~Warning~I would not read this book near a sleeping child or pet.. you will scream out loud a few times.
I really liked Luke in FU but now I'm in love! Hatter has grown on me and I have a feeling that we will be seeing a lot more of him and Sunny in the next book.
I am positive this should be made into a movie!

Meg Collett has a very vivid imagination and I thank her each day that she shares it with us.

*I received a review copy of this book in exchange for an honest review*

 I just read one of the best stories I've ever read in my life and I'm not even sure I can pull my head together long enough to write a review. I'm completely stunned. Shocked. In despair. This series just replaced one of my top 5. The same top 5 I've been looking to add to for over a year. Add to...not replace. What just happened and how am I going to survive until book 3 releases? I can't remember the last time I felt like this.

And where do I even begin? The Killing Season reeks of dark seduction. And have I ever loved a female protagonist this much before?! This book has my head spinning! Everything in it is intense and heated! The witty bantering is actually witty and holy h*ll I'm in love with a bad a** alpha female and an alpha male who is just as deadly and twisted. There may be an abundance of hard core heroines and their snarky attitudes in the lit world, but they can go home because Ollie takes the cake.  And Luke is every womans darkest desire. He doesn't provoke cute butterflies. He consumes with destruction and fire.

And Sunny, Ollie's best friend and the other point of view presented throughout the story, is so sweet and just the right amount of geeky hilarity that falling in love with her is only natural. However, even she is tainted by the madness and fear. No one in this story is left unscathed and in tact. Every single character in this book maticulously evolves into someone stronger and foreboding. 

I don't know how I'm going to make it until the next book.  It kept my heart racing  and adrenaline surging with twist and every, single shocking revelation. The Killing Season is a dark, intoxicating gem.  It's the reason reading a book becomes an addiction.  I've hopelessly been consumed by it and honestly do not know what to do with myself. Only one other author has ever had this effect on me. Ever.

I am afraid to read another book right now because I'm that person who tries to always maintain an open mind and much to an authors disdain I refuse to leave a bad review.  I know all reviews help, but I can't hurt someone's feelings. Despite my lack of reviews last year I had read at least 150 books searching for a series to annihilate my senses and satiate the need to completely lose my heart and soul to another world. Fear University stunned me because as hard as I've searched to grow a top 10 favorites list, this series just replaced one of the top 5 I've held in such high regard for so long. Before now I thought that feat altogether impossible. I can't seen to move past that.

I can't believe how things turned out and I'm super eager to see what happens next

As usual Meg did it again! I can't believe how things turned out and I'm super eager to see what happens next. You thought you know what's going to happen next but theres's so many twists and turns on the plot and it will definitely keep you on the edge.

As usual Meg does not disappoint on this sequel. It gets better and better and I can't honestly wait to find out what happens next. You thought you knew what's going to happen next but there's a twist on every corner! I didn't expect Coldcrow's character to be as such but then again after what's been revealed I guess I'm not surprised and didn't feel bad for him at all. My heart aches for Ollie and I hope that in the end she would be the same feisty woman I grew to love. Luke needs to get his s*** together so he can do what he needs to do and I hope that this will have a HEA. Sigh... I want the 3rd book now!!! LOL.

After reading the first half of this book, it became very apparent that Mr. Zeigler is more interested in self promotion than making an honest attempt to help families of elderly people deal with an increasing problem.
In my opinion, this was $29.95 totally wasted.

A preservation wonder!

This is a history of the restoration of a wonderful complex of 30s buildings, designed as a TB sanatorium, long neglected and now, at least in part, brought back to "life." It is a real treasure for The Netherlands to have saved this remarkable construction! The publication has many illustrations, plans, etc.

With the same combination of the personal and the historical that characterized Stanley's Children of the Dustbowl (1992), this photo-essay humanizes the Japanese American experience during World War II. Stanley focuses on what happened to one high-school boy, Shi Nomura, and relates it to the general events: the bombing of Pearl Harbor, the rising tide of war hysteria, the forced removals and the internment in camps such as Manzanar, the painful return to devastated homes, and the recent official apology. Drawing on interviews and memories of Shi and other internees, the author analyzes the racism that imprisoned Japanese but not Germans, and the inconsistency that allowed Japanese to serve in the army while their relatives were imprisoned without trial. The quiet memories bring the injustice home: how it felt to suddenly be labeled an enemy ("I had always thought of myself as the hero, the good guy") and to see the No Japs sign on neighborhood stores. The book design is handsome, with thick paper, wide margins, and lots of white space; and the black-and-white archival photographs by such renown artists as Dorothea Lange and Ansel Adams document the bleak landscape and the individual heartbreak. good source of material to accompany a study of World War II

Shiro (Shi) Nomura was the son of Hachizo and Tsuro Nomura who had emigrated from Japan to Hawaii in 1900 and then to Berkley, CA, in 1905. Shi was born in the United States, and the family finally settled on a farm southwest of Los Angeles at Keystone where Shi became a student at Banning High School and fell in love with Amy Hattori. But the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor on Dec. 7, 1941, changed his life drastically. On Feb. 19, 1942, President Franklin D. Roosevelt signed Executive Order No. 9066, which resulted in the forced internment (it's internment, folks, not interment) of 120,000 Japanese-Americans, two-thirds of whom were United States citizens, in concentration camps throughout the western United States.

Shi and his family ended up at Manzanar, just south of the desert town of Independence in Inyo County, eastern California. Amy was sent to Amache near the town of Lamar in Colorado. Illustrated with copious black-and-white period photographs and numerous maps, I Am an American tells the true story of the Japanese internment by specifically following the life of Shi at Manzanar, where he lived with his parents, his older brother Shigeru and his family, and his older sister Sadae and her children; through his furlough work on A. T. Tjaden’s farm at Conrad, north of Great Falls, MT, and return to Manzanar; to his visit to Amache in a vain attempt to rekindle his relationship with Amy and final freedom after which he married Mary Kageyama.

On the one hand, we can partially understand the anti-Japanese hysteria because our nation was at war with Japan and, while the vast majority of Japanese-Americans were loyal to the United States, there were some spies and traitors, however few they might have been. On the other hand, there is no doubt that most of the mania was the result of simple racial prejudice that resulted in one of the saddest chapters in America’s otherwise mostly commendatory history. I am sure that there was enough blame to go around, but it is interesting that it was a Democrat administration and a Democrat-controlled Congress which allowed this to happen. There are some references to dancing, and the “d” word is used once by protesters to describe “Japs.” Otherwise, this is a good source of material to accompany a study of World War II.

In this book called I Am An American that I read is a really good book because it is for the kids at the reading level of 9-12 (ages to). If you wanted to know the story. Well in the story their is a yough boy and his family that were intered with others. Also in this story is based one a true one, it is almost like a biography. As I was thinking about this story I realized that is was a very educational it makes you think about the world itself. When I was reading some other reviews I saw one and it caught my attention and I had to write about it. It was about a girl who had experienced what went on in the book. As I was reading on in this review it said that the girl and her family were interned too, just like the boy in the girl in the review. The girl's name that was interned with her family was Shi Nomura. I think being interned is like you having to pack up all of your things and then moving out of the place where you were and then never returning. I think that is just like being interned because you can never go back. And then I started to read another review and it mentioned that this whole thing happened during World War II, and that was one of the worst wars that went on in the world years ago. They said that Japan and many other countries were over world order. "Freedom has a Tousand charms to show". I used this because the people that were interned probably thought that they were going to be free because it makes it seem like they were going to be free but they weren't, going to be free at all. I think that it was a good book because it tells how badly people were treated, it had said that it was a good book. Some people may say that it was not a good book because it might make kids think that when they grow up they will be treated that way. It also might make it seem that this is still going on. It also might make teens think that the world around them is unfair to different people (races). Then it might make teens feel that some people in the world are disrespectful to different people (races), and should be respect to them no matter what race the people are. And it could make them think that people have no kind of respect for others and instead of being mean to them. It is a good book however kids can read it, get an educational idea of their life and the world that surrounds it. I Am An American can get a teen or a child to start reading at the reading level of 9-12. If you by this book then you will enjoy reading it because it will tell you what went on in the world back then instead of now. If you read this book now you will think that "Life isn't the same".

THEY DESERVE BETTER

I read this boook because I had a history project all about Japanese Internment. Before I read this book I thought Japanese Interment was only about the Japanese in some camps. I didn't realize the injustice that we set upon these noble and great people. After reading this book I felt enraged at how the Japanese would have to sell or burn their beautiful and valuble items. I think they deserve so much more than a letter from the President. We should have a much better tribute toward them. I have always been proud of living in such a great state such as California, but I am not proud that they were the least tolerant of the Japanese.

The Righteous Reign of a Good God

Mark Craig takes a diplomatically middle-of-the-road stance on the Historical Jesus debate that has been raging among scholars for the last couple of decades. Like John Dominic Crossan, Craig may appear radical at first, in his fastidiously meticulous unpacking of scriptural and apocryphal literature, but his conclusions are on the conservative side--that there WAS a rural rabbi whose teachings reached out to an unwashed unsung rabble, whose message was about social justice and love, but that reconstructing him as a historical entity is impossible because of the multiple Judaic, Greek, and Roman layers of metaphysical mutation that muddy the waters. According to Craig, the original Jesus was not likely to have claimed Messianic or divine status. He simply promulgated a utopian Judaic vision of the righteous reign of a good God which ended up having a remarkable resonance with the poor and powerless. Craig is in alignment with the Jesus Seminar in this. Ultimately, Craig is more concerned with the message rather than the messenger, in that he believes, like Joseph Campbell, that ALL religion is allegorical instead of literal, and one can only judge a belief by the behavior that results from it, not the idiosyncratic ideology it espouses.
