Matthew L Shuchman, a pioneer in WiFi and local area networks is an Android enthusiast, educator, and entrepreneur. Formerly an economist and management consultant, in addition to his many magazine articles, his previous published books include: The FAQ Guide to Google Search and the Android Browser (2010); and The Art of the Turnaround: How to Rescue Your Troubled Business from Creditors, Predators, and Competitors, Amacom (1994); with editions in Germany (Econ, 1996) and Canada (McGraw Hill Ryerson, 1996). He makes his home in Hollywood, Florida which he shares with Shira, his standard poodle.

This is a very well written detailed user-oriented guide that will answer questions as well as train new users. It has been extremely helpful for me and my family in learning to operate our new tablet. I highly recommend this to anyone who wants to really learn how to use the tablet.

.I've purchased a couple of other books for the Android user. I tend to want to know everything now or yesterday. I found this book to contain the most info for the money. Easy to read with clear illustrations. No one book can cover everything and or be the perfect match for everyone.
I always check the pub. date to be sure I'm getting fresh info, this book fits the bill.

Misleading - NOT about Android

For tips and tricks about using 'Android' I expect exactly that, tips on using the Operating System - Android. Instead this book for a large amount of information, focuses on using Google, how to manipulate Google, and a smaller part on searching within Android for applications installed. Seriously, this book is clearly mislabelled as so many pages turned it's more about - Google's search engine, browser etc.
Can I get a refund, seriously? This is a book necessary for people who have no idea how to use Google, not Android.
