The Queen of Neiman-Marcus

Helen Corbitt was an amazing person. She was director of Restaurants for Neiman-Marcus in Dallas for as far back as I can remember. As a new bride in 1960, I receive this cookbook. It has many tattered and splattered pages, but I continue to treasure it. (You should taste her Dixie Pecan Pie!) Even though the books are out of print, they are worth purchasing as a part of history! I am now exploring buying these for my daughters and granddaughters!

Helen Corbitt's Cookbook

I received this in 1978 as a newlywed from my aunt. I have used it for the last 22 years and have had great success with most of the recipes. Some are a bit dated but most stand the test of time. My daughter is getting married and I am purchasing one for her.

Treasure for the kitchen

I grew up with meals prepared from the recipes in this book, and those dishes are still among my most favorite. Helen Corbitt's recipes are not overly fussy, are easy to prepare and result in some of the best tasting food you will ever eat. She designed her recipes to produce good tasting and looking food. Helen Corbitt's Cookbook is a treasured volume in my library of cookbooks.
